I am experiencing this issue on PS4, at least since 1.19.60 and still happens on 1.19.62. It freezes right after “saving world” when it says “done!” and the only way to fix it is to force close the game and re-open it. This also happens when I leave a server such as Mineplex.

I can confirm this is happening in my creative realm. Gamerules don’t save their setting, and my day/night cycle and weather cycle commands keep resetting to true.

I can confirm this issue. For me it's on Android, Minecraft 1.17.11
I attached a screenshot showing what it looks like.

I am experiencing this issue as well. Shields on other players appear in the wrong spot, and when they see me, mine is in a slightly different but still incorrect spot.

I also ran into this bug in my world today.

This is a known issue with the latest update (1.16.220). Mojang is aware of the issue and will hopefully fix it in the next update.

For the redownloading updates fix you mentioned, it won't affect or get rid of any worlds right?

Ok, yes I have the Nintendo Switch Online membership. Thank you for letting me know!

Oh never mind I just read Aaron Smock’s comment.

If you delete and reinstall the game, will all of the worlds automatically come back or will they be lost?

I know this might sound stupid but try restarting a second time and see if it does anything.

After I tried opening the game a couple of times (both times it gave me the “software has closed because an error has occurred” message), right after it crashed I held down the power button to get to the power menu and restart.

It also fixed the issue with the software closing because of an error.

EVERYONE please press and hold the power button on your Switch and choose "Power options" then the "Restart" button. Once the Switch is restarted, it should work as that fixed my problem with version 1.16.100 not loading the game.

I am also using US English. About this archiving solution, will all of the worlds on the Nintendo Switch disappear or will they be saved and show up when I re-download the game? By the way I'm on the new 1.16.100 still having the problem.

I'm playing on an iPad Mini (1st gen) and support is ending soon, I really need the realms upload to be fixed so that I can transfer my world and continue playing on my Nintendo Switch

That's not a bug, that's a feature, LOL! Pets are supposed to do that!
