It’s a bug. They aren’t supposed to spawn on top of mountains.
It is loot in a sense, but it is also literally the fish you just killed in item form. Its not the same as a skeleton dropping a bow.
It’s still an entity. I dob’t see why there should be different standards between living and non-living ones in terms of that. If you kill a fish and pick it up, one would expect that the dead fish you picked up is the "same one as the one that was swimming. So they should certainly be connected by the name you gave it. Same as if you break a named boat (which as of recent snapshots has its name hovering over it when placed), it keeps its name as an item counterpart.
I disagree Dhranios. As of recent 1.20.3 snapshots, non-living entities such as boats display the name in both item and entity form. This is the same thing in my view.
It just asked if it was still a problem, which it is
Yes it is still a problem
Can someone update me regarding the status of the nature of this issue? Was it ever changed?
If they purposefully intended to create a searching order that doesn’t make sense, then that’s just weird. This should at the very least be listed as Won’t Fix.
It is my understanding that this is now fixed
There is nothing here that "works as intended"
Why is this working as intended? The description is simply misleading. You don’t have to build the portal, you just have to enter one. Compare it to the "The End?" advancement, which simply says "Enter the End Portal". The description of "We need to go deeper" should be changed to something along those lines to make it more accurate and consistent with other advancements.
I updated the description of this report to say ''dirt path'' instead of ''grass path'', since that is now the new name of the item. Someone else had already renamed the title of the report. I also added 1.17 to affected versions, per confirmation by Avoma.
This does not appear to be fixed in 1.17 Pre-release 1.
Coal ore from fossils can still generate through bedrock. But not bone blocks.
Not fixed in 21w20a. Instead, geodes are more common.
This only appears to be partly fixed. Candles don't extinguish if you throw one or a few splash potions on them, only if you spam a lot.
Can confirm in 21w19a
It is an inconsistency in my view. Why would it take damage from its food of choice? While simulatenously not taking damage when eating it.
