In this video, you can see this bug in action.
The bug
The game does not realize that the player is able to jump (and therefore auto-jump does not trigger) if the block above the block in front of the player is
an at least three layers high snow layer (seven layers if you're standing on a slab)
an open trapdoor
a door
a fence
a closed fence gate
a ladder
a glass pane
iron bars
a head
a chest or
a cactus
end rod
flower pot
a wall
cocoa beans
chorus plant
conduit
a bottom slab
even though it is possible to jump onto that block.
Original description
(most of this has been fixed in 1.10pre2)
Auto-Jump does not work if there is a snow layer (or a trapdoor (open/closed), a closed fence gate, a door, a repeater or a comparator) on the block
When I enable Auto-Jump and walk on to a block that has one layer of snow (or a trapdoor (open/closed), a closed fence gate, a door, a repeater or a comparator) on it I expected it to auto-jump for me because you can jump on a block with one layer of snow (or a trapdoor (open/closed), a closed fence gate, a door, a repeater or a comparator) on it.
It didn't jump automatically. It was just like when you have Auto-Jump disabled.
1. Enable Auto-Jump
2. Place down a block
3. Put a layer of snow (or a trapdoor (open/closed), a closed fence gate, a door, a repeater or a comparator) on the block
4. Walk on to the block

But I submitted it first.
Fixed the linking. 🙂

There should be added information about carpets. Also it doesn't work with trapdoors (open/closed), closed fence gates, doors, repeaters and comparators.

I've noticed autojump doesn't work in lava or water. It's possible it's intended, but once the player is in either, it starts bouncing if you're near a block that would get you out of either liquid, almost like it's fighting to work.
