Create a Redstone Ready superflat world.
Put the weather on rain (
/weather rain).You won't see rain because you are in a desert.
Run
/tp ~ ~ ~1000Respawn.
→ ❌ You'll briefly see the rain

Try doing this:
1.Create a Redstone Ready superflat world.
2.Put the weather on rain.
3.Notice how it does not visibly rain because you are in a desert. However, the sky will turn grey.
4.Do /kill
5.Respawn and watch carefully.
