Fireworks do not explode on impact with an entity or block. Instead, they simply fly over the entity and glide across the blocks. In the Java version, fireworks explode on impact with blocks and entities.
Steps to reproduce:
Get fireworks.
Launch fireworks in any way so that they collide with blocks or entities.
Observed results:
Fireworks glide across the blocks and the entity flies by without exploding.
Expected results:
When colliding with blocks and entities, fireworks will explode.

This is vanilla parity. The wiki isn't affiliated/made by mojang. Someone can edit false information in it, also this might be a missing feature.
On java the rocket doesn’t even need to be shot from a crossbow. They also explode on impact with the ceilling when activated by hand.

This is still affecting the 1.20 experimental modes and beta. I understand this is a missing feature and I will make a parity suggestion on Minecraft feedback Here:https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/16442963326861-Crossbow-buffs-and-firework-java-parity-
This is WAI (working as intended) because the Minecraft wiki states, "A shot firework rocket explodes instantly when it hits a mob or block Java Edition only." MCPE is a separate engine and game from java.
