The entity cap is now being shared between both of you and because you're near an isolated farm there will be a lot more valid spawning spaces near them so they'll get most of the mobs
Works as Intended. I advise you read up a bit on how redstone works. What's happening there is the leftmost repeater of the three repeaters on the right is powering a dispenser, which is in turn powering the redstone dust next to it, causing the repeater to power itself.

Because it's the same bug. Blackstone cannot be used as a substitute for stone in all recipes. Exactly which recipes are affected is irrelevant here.
