Confirmed. Occurs only for honey bottles. Does not work for any type of stew/soup, water bottles or potions.

The screenshot shows you are in 21w08a. Please move to the latest release, 21w08b, which specifically fixed this issue.

Please close as invalid - already fixed.

Would be better if this was elaborated i.e. the volume for all three sounds related to entity.minecart are controlled by the "Friendly Creatures" volume slider (which, IMO, should be changed to Ambience/Environment as it is not a passive mob), but when the sounds of "Friendly Creatures" is changed from 0 to a value higher than 0, any entity.minecart sound event that is supposed to play doesn't. Is related to the subtitle issues of the entity.minecart sounds.

More detailed comment permalink here.

Tested for 21w08b. Will try to attach comment with a video later but here are the results;

  • Friendly creatures entirely controls the minecart sounds, both for entity.mincart.inside and entity.minecart.riding, as well as the new entity.minecart.inside.underwater.

BUT

  • When the friendly creatures is turned back on, all the minecart sounds that are supposed to play do not do so - a possible link to the subtitle issues connected with those sounds.

The above suggests the titled bug has been fixed at some point, but there is still another bug related to the volume bars and minecarts (i.e. MC-168621).

Opinion: The friendly creatures volume is described as “The volume of passive mobs.” A minecart is not a passive mob, but a player-made entity. Another player-made entity is a firework, which is listed as “Ambient/Environment”, so it would possibly be fitting to move the minecart sounds there (obviously after the sounds and subtitles bugs are fixed).

uhmmmmmmmmmm those were my computer settings i didnt know those werent needed the entire game was vanilla tf

i probably dont have the same setup as you do so mine crashed at 1 million

probably to do with sending too many item packets to the player, easy limit could be added similar to the /weather [type] [ticks]

can u add 1.16.3 i also checked

A) just wanted to draw attention to this if it was something ingame
B) it wasnt ingame it was his texture pack probably but ty

this looks like a WAI since it was classed as a Java bug, which it isnt

Okay so I checked. Both aren't technically shapeless but work the same way - you either put it to the left and down or to the right and down ie;

O O O

O  I  O

X  O X

O is an empty spot, I is the fishing rod and X is the two places where the carrot or the warped fungus can be put to craft (you can only place it in one or the otherr but not both X's)

Confirmed - Works As Intended.

Yes I know I just realised that, I'm about to check 20w13a to see if the crafting has always been the case.

I just checked recent changelogs - carrot on a stick is shapeless and warped fungus isnt but there doesnt seem to be a shapeless tag on the wiki and no changes to the crafting in the version changes.

@miwob omg yes sorry i forgot about that

Still an issue in pre-7.

Can any mod explain why this was put as WAI? The elytra thing is not only weirdly-shaped, but also directional, and seems like the player will look kind of normal when facing north, and then flipped or lopsided with other directions.
