“Do you think Iron Bars and Brewing Stands look dumb, too?”

YES! They look dumb. Game content created from 2D faces in a 3D game ALWAYS look dumb.

Not sure if already said before, but most lags and performance issues are a result of blindly relying on hyperthreading which slows the whole game down if not supported by the CPU (it’s is actually VERY common).

Standing on the orange wool block and blacing the pistons.

Still an issue in 14w30c.

Can’t confirm the Z fighting and the hinge position looks okay for me.

Tested with default textures and Misa’s Realistic for all three available chest types and the two double chest types.

Confirmed in 14w18b (plus: the connection part of the front and the piston body sticks through the piston body if you create a Redstone block and piston clock)

Yes, it IS still an issue. Not only in 1.7.4 but also in the latest snapshot.

“We don’t care” is not a valid solution.

Confirmed. And I think that this is a bug.

Can’t reproduce either. Can you provide screen shots?

Confirmed. The block acts as if it were not there. You can walk through it and you can’t use it as “counterpart” for placing other blocks. After a few seconds the block “teleports” to the ground and becomes solid again.

Because seamless glass doors taking several minutes to open are the veryday use of pistons … Sorry, but no. This does not justify anything!

It’s just a but no-one at Mojang is willing to fix because they don’t want to upset big Redstoners at YouTube (as they did with parcours makers when removing the “hitbox” of ladders and adding them back as several big YouTubers complained about that useful change).

In 13w42b clouds behind stained glass aren’t rendered at all.

Welcome to nasty hacked player models. There will be no solution to this until player models code will be revamped.

Are you in single player or on a server? In single player check if you really in gamemode 1 and not gamemode 2.

On server check distance from spawn area. 16 blocks around spawn area are protected by default.

Might be similar source of the problem as in MC-34658 (Mods: NOT duplicate, similar!)

Isn’t that valid for all blocks that can be powered by Redstone?

I hope that they’ll accidentally fix it while fixing another bug as they did with the Far Lands 🙂
