MCPE-157779 Technical Difficulties in importing .mcaddon, .mcworld, .mcpack files on android. Works As Intended

Comments

The information is quite plausible.

When: In creative Mode

Problem: Cannot catch a fish

Mods be like: Ooof I don't know how to reproduce the bug. you have to tell if how on earth to catch the fish, if it's bucket or fishing rod.

I did all the proper works of all this mods, as it turns out, you are catching the fish with a bucket with no water in it so it won't work.

Sadly this one is working as intended and the same as how java works. You cannot intentionally catch the fish with a fishing rod so use common sense (for you moderator).

You should fill the bucket with water first before attempting to click on the fish. Thank you for your bug report.

This bug has a complete description.

when deleting a folder in appdata worlds still appear intill game restart with fallback texture aka error or unknown

When: deleting a folder in appdata

What: worlds still appear untill game restart with fallback texture

Reproduce: delete a world folder in appdata,Β  run minecraft, see the bug ok πŸ˜ƒ

Try to clear your cache kids. Mine gets soo insanely high like 3GB.

I searched the keyword "Minecraft Bedrock Edition Cache" on YouTube and found this video. https://youtu.be/CjCLtI_k2dI

It has a Minecraft with a whopping 7GB of unidentified data. I cannot still confirm since I am not an apple user but this could be it.

793MB of Cache(FOR NOW). Record high:3GB

As of now, 628MB of cache collected, still being unmanaged by the application.

I am still observing for 1.19.0 release though. I will try to get the screenshot to be displayed on this bug report. πŸ˜ƒ

Edit: After doing the same methods to reproduce this bug in 1.19.0, here is the screenshot:

Hmm. I think it's a good idea to put this only to Android. I just believed that it happens in the whole minecraft code since Code is almost the same as the others. I have tested this on the Minecraft 1.19.20 beta (not preview). There is no other way to verify the problem onto other devices because I don't have them. I will remove the versions that I included which I could not test but would return them after others have commented the same issue from other devices.

Edit: I tried to remove them but I can't.

1.19 changelog did not state this bug as fixed. It's probably still there but we need to check it first. Maybe they fixed it.

It could happen on android too.

Turn off vsync for renderdragon engine to remove input delay.

Please take note to this tho.

I saw a fix on yt that prevents the pink glitch from happening altough it works, it is not always the best solution. It just overwrites the old unused textures. It would still leave the RAM full. The thing that devs should do is to code it to properly load required textures and also to properly UNLOAD them too after you leave them behind so you can use your ram more efficiently.

Yes, you are correct about that sir. I use integrated graphics, Integrated gpus usually uses shared memory. I believe (but not sure at all) vsync uses less ram because my phone is only 2gb in ram. I am not sure though. Pink glitch could still happen to others who have vsync on but my entire 3 years of playing murder mystery and renderdragon with vsync on never experienced any pink glitch until i turned it off.

Note: I turned off vsync cuz i experience in delay like 100ms in my game. I searched tutorials on YT on what causes it. Turning vsync off for 45 minutes is worth it than significant input delay all the time. The vsync delay caught on me like on 1.18.31, others experienced it since the release of renderdragon though. Mojang should really add more people to their technical graphical team. And they should get like an average or below average devices for testing performance issues. My PC is pretty high end 3 years ago so this performance issues did not come to me until my pc is aged. I don't want to waste more money on a new pc cuz why not buy something else other than that if it is still working like a big chungus train.

Real talk: Does this happen when vsync is on? For me it never happened until I turned my vsync off. Why is everyone complaining about the pink glitch.

*me: hmm

*also me: vsync has input delay

Hehe me: turns off vsync

Minecraft: here's your order sir, pink glitch, enjoy your order.

Edit: i didn't order anything lol, Disclaimer: this could not apply to all people since everyone has different computers. Others have vsync onΒ  they still get it[the glitch]. Just happened to me for some reason.

pink glitch is an actual nightmare help

Test if server crashes when two people are fighting with both have thorns armor on.

I think this mod literally hates me. If so, sorry sir imma just want to help consider my contributions.

We need vsync to keep the frame rate as our monitor need it. It also helps the environment by saving energy. Global warming is an issue. Imagine 800,000 are playing minecraft playing without vsync generating too much fps and excess heat from hardware.

Microsoft had done like extracting carbon from the air, but the impact of fixing the vsync bug would help against greenhouse gasses.
