Animals and mobs standing on interactive blocks can't move

UPDATE as of 1.2.0.15 - This still affects Chests Regular and Trapped

Regular/Trapped Chests

  • I spawned ocelots and they just walk around in circles on the chests and cannot progress further.

Steps to duplicate

  • Place either a Chest Regular/Trapped on the ground in a 5x5 area.

  • Make sure you are crouching first before spawning an entity, these are interactive blocks.

  • Spawn an animal or hostile mob in the center.

  • Notice how the mob or animal doesn't move from where you spawned them. They're stuck standing on the interactive blocks forever

They will not move on windows 10 or on android 5.1.1 Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Korea model. Also, on Samsung Galaxy note pro 12.2 US model. I can even put in the US model of the Note 3 and nothing will move on a half slap as long as it is not level with block position.

Confirmed for Windows 10 Edition v0.13.0.

PlantSeed

Confirmed, mobs can not move when standing on:

  1. Daylight Sensor.

  2. Enchantment Table.

  3. End Portal Frame.

  4. Chest.

  5. Trapped Chest.

  6. Half Slab.

  7. Wooden Trapdoor.

  8. Iron Trapdoor.

  9. Cake.
The mobs not only can not move, but it will remove they behavior to attack the player, ex: Zombie do not attack player when standing on Half Slabs. The attached screenshot captured on version 0.13.1.

This bug seems to be fixed in 0.14.0 build 4, but we'll have to wait for 0.14 to roll out to Windows 10 Edition.

Reopening since this issue affects 0.14.0 build 7

Still affects 0.14.0 alpha. Cows standing on trapdoors can't move so they can't breed.

Confirmed on Samsung Galaxy S6 Android 5.1.1 single player survival. A zombie chasing me fell into a 1 deep hole that had an open trap door in it. The zombie stopped moving and would not get out of the hole. Come close enough and it would attack.

SuperGeniusZeb

Confirmed for 0.15.0 on Windows 10. It appears that it has to be a 5x5 space, otherwise the mob will move normally.

This also applies to slabs. They will not walk onto them. If forced, they will stand and spin.

This seems to still happen in 1.2.11. I have been noticing it with endermen and endermites not being able (or unwilling) to leave chests.

The endermen will eventually teleport away, but will not walk off of the chest.
