Same thing to me.
Not only that controllers are delayed they press themselves for longer after i close menu, invetory. This really affects gameplay. Like a lot.

I am also having this issue, I don’t have access to a realm so I can’t upoad it like you are talking about. I saved in the end and the bar loads but the world doesn’t. I have commented on many tickets that involve this issue, and I happened it will be fixed soon. At least this ticket has a moderator, most are still open and sitting there. Please review more of these and condense them.
Happened to me
This exact thing happened to me on Nintendo Switch. My Survival Workd is 130 MB, and honestly my best world. I have killed the ender dragon ( actually twice because of the death duplicate bug) and travelled to the end cities. I saved while in one and now I can’t get into my world. The spinning background freezes and I am stuck on the Downloading World screen that has a full green bar. I have tried waiting a long time but nothing works. I have also tried loading the world offline but had no success. This is seriously impacting my Minecraft experience and it seems others are having this issue too. Come on Mojang!!!
