The bug
Since the 1.14.4 update, tamed pets (have only tested with parrots and dogs thus far) no longer teleport to the player, and instead get left behind. If within render distance, the pet will continue to walk/fly towards the player but will not teleport, even under circumstances where they would have on prior versions of MC. Tested both on single-player and multi-player.
In the attached video, I showcase some behavior that would previously result in tamed pets teleporting to the player. The video shows the new behavior wherein they will NOT teleport, even within eyesight.

Reproduced the issue in both Singleplayer and Multiplayer survival. They will not teleport even tho they're in a loaded chunk.
Tamed wolves are very erratic for me with 1.14.4
Sometimes they teleport, sometimes they don't. Not sure what conditions are causing them not to, but it's most noticeable in complex caves
Can confirm (1.14.4): sometimes they teleport and sometimes they don't (even though the chunks are properly loaded).
Can confirm that this is happening in both single player and on a multiplayer server I have been playing on.
This issue will be fixed in 1.15. The fix is already available in the latest development versions of the game, but will arrive later if you're playing on release versions.
I tamed a wolf and used "/kill" and it teleported to my spawn point. So, this works in 1.15 Pre-Release 1 for Java, but could we please also get it to work for Bedrock Edition? I'm using Beta 1.14.05.1, which is pretty much equivalent to Java 1.15 Pre-Release/Snapshots. I realize this belongs in the Bedrock section, but similar Bedrock issues are linked to similar Java issues.
Could reproduce this issue on 1.14.4 singleplayer creative.
