[MCPE-106124] Items lag or stutter when dropped

Every time I break a block when the item pops it lags or stutters. It does not pop up smoothly. It has been happening for a long time. I could not find any report to this issue.

Steps to Reproduce:

Break a block in Survival or drop an item

Observed Results:
The item lags or stutters.

Expected Results:
The item should not lag or stutter.

I can confirm that item sprites, when thrown out of one's inventory, are very jittery and laggy. Not really sure what the cause of this is, but it may be from the "entity movement prediction" added in this update, which I guess also applies to item entities. Hope this gets fixed, its super annoying and an eye-sore.

Additionally, tridents and snowballs lag when thrown, I assume eggs and all projectiles do too.

The latest version 1.16.210 did not resolve the problem it made it worst. I will attach a video to show you the problem. look how the item pop up after breaking it.

I dont really understand why this jitteriness happens...why cant item entities have the same server gravity properties as mobs? Mobs have never had issues with jittery movement.

this seems to be caused by a mismatch with the client's entity gravity and the server's. Similar to experience orbs, item entities use clientside gravity calculations but my guess is that the jitteriness is caused by the server correcting/rubber banding the item entity's position while its falling.

In my game, items were fine until I updated the game to 1.17.10. I'm not sure if it's as bad for others as it is for me, but I'll post some recordings. I play on Windows 10, and the game fps are on the top left of the screen to show that it's only the items staggering and not the game fps.

I have always experienced this myself in most recent versions, affects 1.17.30.21 Beta, and It's currently of the most annoying bugs, It's not FPS drop or anything, It's just that items that are dropped or are moving (even in water or when sticked to honey block) are far far less smooth.

I build up a tower of scaffolding then destroy the bottom and think my game is lagging from all the item drops when it's just the jittery animation. Is this related to mobs becoming laggy and jittery further away from the player?

Are you using the latest beta version in that clip? There's no beta debug text at the top of the screen and the grass seems to possibly be using random colour gradients which were removed recently

in the latest beta 1.17.40.20 There is a glitch that happens when you break a block with multiple drops such as Melon I will show you a clip. Then tell me if I should make a new report for it.
