Compared to java, the colored text of a sign is too dark (using dyes or §, but only for signs placed in 1.16.220 or later). It almost appears black when you have low brightness.
Steps to Reproduce:
Write in a sign (preferably birch, to have contrast)
Apply any color of dye
Observed Results:
The color is almost indistinguishable from normal, black text.
Expected Results:
The color should be a little more bright so you can make out what color has been used.
Notes: The glow ink sac effect is good, but on Java its not required to identify the color of the text.

Can confirm. I have also found an interesting workaround: After using the dye on the sign, if you right-click on it with an empty hand, it will then show the color brightened. I have attached a video showing this. Do note that the brightened color is still not perfect as it is too bright compared to the color on the signs in Java Edition.
[media]Ok, very well, my bad. Latest release (1.19.50/1.19.51) and latest beta/preview (1.19.60.24) are affected.
As of checking in 1.19.83 (might've started happening in an earlier update), all signs placed prior to 1.16.220 have now become darkened. Sign UI text when using § is still lighter than the text on the sign. The fix should be to make the colored text on the signs match the colored text on the UI rather than make the UI text darkened as well.
Ok so loading up a .mcworld from prior to 1.16.220, the signs are as they should be; however, new signs continue to be darker than their UI counterpart. This is as of 1.20.51.
I can't reproduce this bug sadly.
