Last night, I updated minecraft on my switch. After the update, I tried to login, however, the error message ‘There was a problem loading Natural Texture Pack’ appeared. I have tried to delete/ uninstall and then reinstall the texture pack, restart my switch/ minecraft, but I cannot use the natural texture pack. I downloaded the city texture pack and this works just fine along with the OG minecraft texture. My world has been created using the natural texture pack and it just looks awful in any other texture pack! I’m hoping it’s just a bug and can get sorted soon! Please let me know if anyone else is having similar issues.
Additional information from @unknown:
This issue affects:
Plastic Texture Pack
Cartoon Texture Pack
Candy Texture Pack
Fantasy Texture Pack
City Texture Pack
Natural Texture Pack
Note that these are all Minecraft-branded texture packs that were developed for Mojang Studios by 4J Studios. There are two other texture packs that fit this description (Steampunk Texture Pack and Pattern Texture Pack) which we have not been informed have this problem.
Additional information from @unknown:
This appears to be an issue with the licenses granted when these packs were purchased. When we look at Marketplace > My Content on the platform we purchased them on, these packs (once downloaded) are labeled "Owned (P)" instead of just "Owned", and on other platforms they are offered for purchase (not owned), which suggests the "(P)" indicates a platform restricted license. If a pack is then re-bought on a different platform, all platforms will change to show "Owned" and these can then be activated in a world's Resource Packs list on the original (or any other) platform - that is, this issue error goes away.
It's been a long time since I purchased these packs, but I don't remember ever being told I would only be allowed to use them on a particular platform. In any case, I bought them on Windows (it was my only platform until recently) and I shouldn't be getting an error trying to use them on Windows - that is the bug. But I feel like I shouldn't have to buy them again for another platform, and if these license restrictions were lifted this problem would presumably just go away, so maybe Mojang will consider that.

Having the same problem on my iPad, the City Texture Pack won’t load on any of my worlds except for the main screen. And it was working just fine yesterday 😞

I have this issue with the PC version. I use Natural and City and they both get the message shown above. Also, it appears that if the system level is using, e.g. City but the world level is not, this message will still appear and the world load will fail.

The issue occured on my switch, too. But it extends even further. I've tried to create a new world, since i'm completely unable to acess my old worlds, even when all texture packs are disabled.
It won't work. Tha same error appears, even when trying to create a new world with vanilla textures as 'there was a problem loading natural texture pack'. I don't understand why, cause natural texture pack is visibly not enabled.
EDIT: The solution mentioned by Mountainlover does not work for me.
EDIT2: As of 7th may, Minecraft is not loading any of my worlds at all. Not even with the default textures. The same error appears even with the original Minecraft textures.
EDIT3:
Thinking to celebrate minecrafts birthday and looking at the 15 year journey World. But nope, even the template is not loading at all. There is a problem loading pack one of your packs. Even with no additional packs installed the game won't let me start a new world or load anything.
I have this issue on my Switch as well.
I have discovered that if I go into settings —> storage and delete the Natural Textures, and then back to Global Resources and activate the Natural Textures pack again so that it prompts me to Download it again, then I am able to go play any of my worlds and it works.
However, I need to do this EVERY time I start playing. Certainly annoying and I hope this gets resolved quickly.

Still not working.😞 I did try mountain lover’s suggestion, however this didn’t work for me sadly😞 I can’t play any of my worlds at all now - even with the original texture pack.

Yup. My 5 year old with ADHD and ASD has had several meltdowns because of this (which led to a little meltdown myself if I'm honest lol). I've been trying to fix for hours when I finally came across this ticket.

I've had this problem too. I'm pretty frustrated as this wasn't a free game. In the three years I've been playing there seems to always be a big bug every year. 😭
This has been going on since April and its no small inconvenience. If there's an issue with the pack the game will not play!
Please Mojang, fix it soon!
Thank you.

I experienced the same error. I've reinstalled minecraft, the natural texture pack, tried Purebdcraft pack, still cannot get into Minecraft. No crafting happening. Lots of sadness.

I have the same issue. Was it an update recently that caused this? It’s pretty annoying. I have such a large world created can’t worth losing in City Texture Pack.

Reopened as it has been reported that this still occurs on Switch with the Natural Texture Pack, and I can confirm that it still occurs on Windows with the Fantasy, City, and Natural texture packs.
Edit: I noticed a dialog box being displayed just before the dialog box that says "There was a problem". It gets overwritten so quickly I couldn't read it, so I did a recording and looked frame by frame. The first dialog box says "Checking download", "This may take a few moments".
I tried going into Settings > Storage to use Clear Marketplace Cache and delete the Natural and Fantasy texture packs. I was going to delete the City Texture Pack as well, but I couldn't find it. Then I exited and noticed that the black and pink "missing texture file" icon was showing on the Global Resources button. I opened Global Resources and expanded the My Packs list and discovered that after a certain point, all the packs had the missing texture icon (see image below). So it appears that when lists of resource packs are being changed, something is breaking the links between them.
For me, it only affects resource packs that are included on Nintendo Switch, but not purchased on my Microsoft Account. To check if the content was affected, Go to Marketplace, then head to My Contents, and download some if the content was not downloaded, if there's "(P)" after "Owned" on it, it is most likely to be affected by this bug.
There is an issue someone was having and the cause of another issue from them can be found here.
Also I think it relates to MCPE-61368 as both are results of the game treating these contents incorrectly.
For working around on Nintendo Switch, I can still activate the affected resource pack as a global resource pack (specifically Natural Texture Pack), even after a game reboot, but cannot activate that pack on a world even with a redownload. And mine in "My Contents" is "Owned (P)"
Edit: Can reproduce another symptom which I cannot enter the world with affected resource / texture pack activated as global resource pack without deleting and re-downloading, and workaround from @unknown works for me, but after deleting the affected resource pack, I had to go back to Marketplace for the re-download, as mentioned by @unknown.
Edit 1: Edited the whole comment so it is clearer. Additional context based of next comment from me is that I have a skin pack that is specifically owned on iOS, on My Contents, that skin pack is labelled with "Owned (P)" instead of just "Owned", for more about that label, please take a look at the description of the issue added by @unknown.
Yes, I've been experimenting and am able to get them to work in Global Resources, though not consistently. It seems to depend on whether I've tried to activate them in the world Resource Packs first.
I think if you remove all the packs from your world, restart Minecraft, and add the pack you want to Global Resources, it will probably work.
I'm not sure what the difference between "Owned" and "Owned (P)" is, but it has nothing to do with the Switch or not purchased on the Microsoft Account. I also have the Owned (P) on them, and I bought them for Windows on my MS account. I agree, however, that the packs in question all have this in common, but I think that might just be a coincidence.
@unknown For the issue on Windows that the packs are not working, I've just purchased one of the affected texture pack, City Texture Pack, and that works with no problem, and for me, it is "Owned", and not "Owned (P)" on My Contents in Marketplace.
The fact is I don't even know what the "Owned (P)" stand for, I only see that on Nintendo Switch and iOS, so multiple platforms, but functionally, with that, the content usually won't be synced on a player's Microsoft Account, and that seemed to be a culprit.
Were there "Owned (P)" on affected resource packs when you headed to My Contents in Marketplace? for my interest.
Answer from @unknown: Yes, My Contents in Marketplace shows "Owned (P)" for these (and only these) packs.
@unknown, So could the affected resource / texture packs be downloaded on another platform (like mobile) without spending any additional Minecoins? For me, it's a no.
Answer from @unknown:
You're onto something here. No, the 3 packs I have that were marked "Owned (P)" were not owned on Android. As an experiment, I bought the Fantasy Texture Pack again on Android and it shows just "Owned" there. And after that I restarted Minecraft on Windows and checked the Marketplace, and Fantasy there no longer has the (P) either. To top it off, I can now activate Fantasy Texture Pack on my world without any problem. So apparently the problem has to do with the licenses granted when the packs marked with (P) were purchased.
I will update the problem description with the relevant information. Thanks for your help!
The pinned solution from mountainlover does, again, not work for me.
If I delete Natural textures, there is no option back in global resources to aktivate it, and no promt to download it again
Edit: I know, that i don't have to pay for it again, but downloading it again as suggested by Mountainlover does not work. The Bug continues to show.
@unknown: When you delete a title under Settings > Storage, you have to go back and find it in the Marketplace again. It should be marked "Download" in the list, and when you open the title's page it should have a "Download" button. You don't need to pay for it again.
Still happening for me on Nintendo Switch. All of the above suggestions.. Uninstall, reinstall, turn it off, activate it again, etc.. None of those fix the problem. 2 or 3 months ago there was an option in Marketplace to download an update for it and that still didn't fix anything.

I'm experiencing this same issue with the natural texture pack on my switch. I noticed it a couple wks ago and disregarded it, but have noticed the issue is continuing to occur. I've went into the system storage on the game and deleted and reinstalled it (as I saw that was listed as a possible solution on some of the comments here and on some other random search for answers to this issue). After deleting the texture pack and reinstalling it still isn't working.
It will load up under global resources and show it as activated but once I try ro create a new world or log into one I already had it activated for it pops up with that error about there being some problem.
My son (11y) is also experiencing this issue. He downloaded the pack after seeing how much better it made everything look and now we're both upset by it not working.

@unknown: This issue does not block access to worlds. You should be able to load the world if you deactivate the pack in Global Resources and/or the world's Resource Packs.
Note that using Settings > Storage to delete a pack doesn't remove it from the Resource Packs settings of worlds in which it is activated. That has to be done separately.

As a partially colour blind person, the natural texture pack helped a lot to differenciate the blocks. As an example, I'm not able to distinguish andesite from stone, unless it's colours are different.
Hello,

We have notified Mojang that the fix either wasn't applied to 1.21.20 as expected or didn't fix all instances of this problem. That will cause them to recycle it into their system for reconsideration, which is all the staff here can do.
As to priority, Mojang uses a complex set of criteria to set each bug's priority and reviews it regularly. The only direct influence players (including we staff) have on priority is by upvoting the bug report (via the link in the heading) and making sure it's clear about how to reproduce the bug and how it impacts gameplay.

Thank you for your interest in keeping this bug report up to date. Release 1.21.30 is already in the list of affected versions and the platform is already set to "Multiple", which includes the Nintendo Switch, so there is nothing more to do at the moment. We appreciate your interest in keeping this bug report up to date, but please limit comments to providing new information per our Guidelines and FAQ. Thanks!

Still happening, Festive MashUp, IPhone. I have used this mashup on iPhone for a long time, now no. It has the P and I’m no longer able.
Still there at 1.21.50
Not on all switches, (I got 2 and only 1 is affected).
It might be related to the game trying to connect to the marketplace for checking on updates of the pack, when this takes too long or returns an error, the game thinks the pack is corrupted and suggests to redownload or restart the game.
I found some workaround for the time being, although it is pretty annoying to have to do this every time you have left the game / need to reload the game / world.
Step-by-Step Guide:
1) Deactivate the Texture Package in Game Settings
Open the game-specific settings for the world you’re trying to load.
Locate the resource packs or texture package settings.
Deactivate the Mojang Natural Textures package here.
2) Deactivate the Package in General Settings
Go back to the game’s main splash screen (where you see options like Play Game, Settings, and Marketplace).
Navigate to General Settings and find the Resources section.
Deactivate the Mojang Natural Textures package in this menu as well.
3) Let Resources Load
Return to the main splash screen. The game will display a message:
"Loading resources, this might take a while."Wait for the process to complete.
4) Reactivate the Texture Package in General Settings
Go back to General Settings and re-enable the Mojang Natural Textures package.
Return to the splash screen again. You’ll see the
"Loading resources, this might take a while"message once more.
5) Start Your Game
Return to the Play Game menu and select your world.
The world should now load without the error message.
Important Notes:
If you exit the game and encounter the error again, repeat the steps above.
Always keep the game-specific settings for the world on basic/default resources when reactivating the package in General Settings. If the package is active in both places at the same time, the game will not open.
By carefully following these steps, you should be able to resolve the error and continue enjoying your game with the natural texture package.
At least... it does with mine.

@unknown: The bug described in this report only affects the Minecraft-branded packs listed in the description. The Soundscape+ Add-On would not have the same kind of problem.
As a first guess, your problem looks to me like you might be low on storage. I can't tell what platform you're playing on so I might be totally wrong about that. But it wouldn't hurt to check Settings > Storage for any stuff you're not using right now and recovering some storage space that way. If that doesn't help, you might want to try asking for help at the Community Support Discord, and if that doesn't work, create a new bug report using the advice in our Mojang Bug Tracker Guidelines and FAQ. .

My son can’t open any of his existing worlds on his Switch because we get this error. We have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the pack and are not getting anywhere. we have the most current version of Nintendo switch. Hoping someone can help!
Nintendo Switch OLED still has this issue 😞
I am having the same issue, what is being done to resolve it?
Same problem says “owned (p)” in the market same with a few other packs. Heard two different reason for it so far. Hoping it gets fixed👍

Affects versions
1.21.72 Hotfix
Description: Games with texture pack(s) not loading due to trying to download the texture pack again and failing / reporting an error doing so.
This is an ongoing issue on which I posted the previous work-around(s) before the migration already, but I am astonished it is still not resolved.
Affects versions (on my switch tested) from 1.20.41 till now 1.21.72 (just updated and tested).
When Í click a previously stored game or (re)start a game:
it opens a download box to download the Natural-texture pack instead, however the texture pack is already downloaded.
Then a popup tells me the texture pack could not be downloaded and I should restart the game or re-download the texture pack.
Neither given suggestions work and I return to point 1
Simplified Work around:
Remove any texture pack in the resources of the chosen game to load (edit game settings of the world you wanted to load).
Go back to the start screen before the screen to choose a game to load (home screen)
Choose settings and navigate down to general resources and click it.
Remove any texture pack here activated in the General resources settings.
Return to the start screen (click B ) , wait for the popup telling you it is “loading (general) resources, this might take a while”
Now the standard texture (and color) home screen should be loaded with the grey buttons for play, settings and market place. Choose settings again.
Navigate to general resources again and add the desired texture pack, in my case the Minecraft Natural-texture pack, click activate
Click button B again to return to the home screen, a popup is telling you it is loading resources again, you will see the screen change according to the texture map chosen again (with a few glitches).
Without hitting any other button, now directly go to play and when the available worlds appear, directly choose the world you want to play and click A
Now the game will load directly,….. with your chosen texture pack,
or you will be prompted again with an attempt to download the texture pack and give the same error, if this is the case, go back to point 2 and try again.
If it still does not work after trying again, try it with internet switched off by erasing your Wifi connection (if you remember your password) or try to choose local network with button Y in the home screen (supposed to be for local multiplay over bluetooth network).
I sincerely hope this issue will be fixed soon because it is really annoying…and more than a year remaining unsolved, while people pay for this stuff (texture packs).
Same issue but I use the “City Texture Pack”. Won’t work on the new version. Just works on Legacy. (XB-sX)
It seems the texture pack has been updated and is now ±25MB instead of 66MB but now the package does permanently prevent the game to load by giving an error and the work around is no longer working (for me).
this really suck and I have not played the game anymore since, a shame because I intended to buy so many texture packs and upgrades but as long as this bug is not solved, (already for more than a year) I will not spend a dime extra on this game.
Especially now my work around is no longer working!!!! This is the nail in the coffin for Minekraft for me… played it since the very first version, and now with my kids on the Nintendo switch, I guess I will not be buying another Switch2 either…
Basically this bug prevents me from spending at least 1000$ on upgrades for my family, I cannot escape the idea that other people fell the same problem because the issue is still not solved after more than a year!!! unbelievable.. the loss of income for Mircosoft seems to be not a problem… there is no interest in fixing this issue..
I would advice people to do a credit card charge back for this issue when they bought stuff that does not work… The Natural texture pack was free for me but still, it is a shame this is not fixed by now.. other people were not so lucky and spent money on packs…
There is mentioned at the beginning of this thread that it has to do with licensing, this could be but I have never used or bought the pack on another platform than the Nintendo switch therefore it is different from the suggested licensing problem as mentioned in this thread. It seems Mojang / Microsoft has no hurry solving this issue. Or maybe they can’t, that would be really bad!!!
Ok I got it working again by blocking the Nintendo Switch internet access in my router by use of parental controls instead of switching off the internet on the switch…and then go through my previous work around again…. not sure how long this will work though… Mojang / Microsoft…. FIX THIS!!!!! SOOOOOOOO annoying this.
Oh by the way.. the Natural texture pack is now 68MB…. An edit button for editing ones own previous posts would be handy too…. saves the clutter in the thread…
This is STILL an issue in version 1.21.93.
I’m glad I’m not the only one. I purchased the City Texture Pack on the 360 version.. it carrier over to the Xbox One edition but doesn’t work on Minecraft. So frustrating because I simply won’t play without it. I still build on Xbox One edition which obviously doesn’t get updated anymore. It’s a joke the team can’t fix such a basic bug..
Still an issue in version 1.21.101
Is any work being done about this? Will just need to use Xbox One Edition for the City Texture Pack for the time being.
I am also on v1.21.101 and my work around is also not working anymore after this update, I am really not going to pay for any pack now before this is solved but I believe Microsoft who owns this disaster is not interested in making money because this is going on for more than 1,5 year now.. I quit playing all together the last half year….so no spending money here either…
None of my “mojang” texture packs is working anymore, I want my money back!!!!!
And to be clear, I did buy these packs on this switch and never carried them over to any other platform, sometimes they worked after loading and unloading and loading them again, but that seems to no longer work anymore either… it takes all the fun out of the game for me… and I really do not understand why this excruciating bug is not fixed…. there is no address to send any email to to get my money for these packs back, maybe I should all buy them again and do a credit card charge back, and do this several times until the bug is fixed, I mean when I buy something that does not work, I will get my money back from my bank (or visa) who will charge mojang 7 mircrosoft 20$ for each time failing to deliver. this is at least 5 packs at the time so that is 5 charge backs a day for at least a month = 5 x 30 = 150 x 20$ = 3000$ a month loss until they fix it… we all should vote with our wallet. come on Mojang… fix this issue!!!!!
Follow up:
I have a new work around:
I figured a way to load the texture package again for a single start of the game / world (so after exiting the world, you need to follow this guide again).
This workaround might help you (Mojang) solve the ongoing issue, this work around only works when online because you need access to the market place, so you cannot use it when playing local network (bluetooth connection) multiplayer game with other switch players in a 5m distance of each other: therefore the need to solve this issue still exists!!!!!!
I got now 3 consecutive times the texture pack loaded upon writing this, while starting the game normally will still give the error.
Do as follows:
Starting the game by removing all texture packs form general resources and also from the world itself,
Now delete the texture packs from the storage tab in general settings.(you will need to download it later again from your market place).
Clear the cache in storage tab.
To be sure, do this several times. (I did).
Now go to the Market place and re-download the texture pack after having restarted the game first.
Now we will attempt to load the game with texture pack, this you have to do every time when loading the world with the texture pack:
Make sure no resources are loaded and you have the standard home splash screen.
If needed go to settings again and deactivate the texture pack at the resources tab (you also need to do this when you exited the game and want to start again)
Then click "play" game (or whatever that would say in English, mine is in Dutch).
Now you are in the list of your saved worlds and you need to click modify / edit behind the world of your choice.
In the edit environment navigate in the menu to resources and make sure no packs are selected or active.
Then navigate in that same resources screen to the texture pack that always fails to let the game load and click it open.
Click here on "view more” information or something similar, it will take you to the market place to this specific texture pack.
Click Activate now (which should be green), you will be opening up the general resources page this way.
Select the same texture pack and activate it.
Very important, click B, now you return to the market place
click again B, now you return with a little delay to your game edit setting screen, now do not click anything else but "play".
Now your game will load with the texture pack, the text box when loading the game already changes color accordingly.
I hope you guys from Mojang can now finally find a permanent solution to this issue
Update – Client-Side DRM Bug (Switch) and Unresolved Support Escalation
Hello Mojang Team,
I am providing an update to this issue following several weeks of correspondence with Mojang Support (Zendesk case, latest contact with Eli F. on Oct 5, 2025).
Summary
This problem is not related to a missing license or unlinked Microsoft account but appears to be a client-side DRM or license validation bug affecting Mojang-authored texture packs (specifically the Natural Texture Pack) on Nintendo Switch.
The support team continues to request that I “link a Microsoft account,” but this does not address the root cause.
The content is already owned, downloaded, and verified, yet fails to load (offline always) due to validation errors within the game client and can only be loaded with a specific path:
Observed Behavior
The Natural Texture Pack is present and loads successfully only when activated through a specific workaround:
open the Marketplace →
select the pack but do not activate, just see if all info is present →
exit the marketplace→
click the play button on the home screen →
click the edit button located after the world to play→
navigate in the left menu to resources→
select "available"→
click the Natural texture pack→
click "read more" so the market place Natural texture pack page will open in the market place→
click the now green button "activate texture pack now" from this screen→
you will be rerouted to the global resources settings page where you can select the pack again →
press B and for the resources to load →
press B again until you get back all the way to the World Edit tab →
click immediately play to launch the world and the world will load without error message... most of the time).
It fails to load when offline.
The content works temporarily after a successful Marketplace session, but only until the next restart.
Marketplace access is now extremely unstable — often taking over an hour or multiple restarts to connect.
On a second Switch console (with a second physical game card and separate Nintendo account), the Marketplace throws a rights error (E-0020).
Third-party texture packs (e.g., from Pathway Studios) work offline perfectly once downloaded.
Only Mojang-branded texture and skin packs fail, showing “Owned (P)” in the Marketplace — third-party packs do not show this marker.
Conclusion
This indicates a client-side DRM or registration bug specifically affecting Mojang’s own DLC.
The issue is not server-side and not related to Microsoft account linkage, since other Marketplace items work as expected.
Mojang Support was even able to add 1,000 Minecoins to my MCID / DID combi without a Microsoft account connected, demonstrating that they can modify entitlements directly.
If this is possible, restoring the Mojang texture packs (so they no longer show the “(P)” flag) should also be technically feasible.
Request
Please escalate this issue internally to the engineering or DRM team responsible for Switch Marketplace integration.
The current response path through outsourced Zendesk support is not technically equipped to handle or resolve this matter.
If a technical fix is not possible, please consider fair compensation for affected users (e.g., equivalent licenses for Minecraft Java/Bedrock Edition on PC / tablet / laptop).
Additional Context
This issue has persisted for over 1.5 years, rendering paid DLC (purchased legitimately on Switch cartridges) partially unusable offline and in local multiplayer.
The requirement to link a Microsoft account to revalidate existing purchases introduces new conditions not present at the time of sale, which may raise EU consumer protection concerns (product conformity and digital content rights).
Bug Reference: MCPE-180918
Platform: Nintendo Switch
Status: Ongoing (reproducible on multiple consoles with legitimate, separate game cards)
Last Tested Version: v1.21.111
After a 1.5 year long battle, it seems that Mojang (or at least the helpdesk) has thrown the towel in the ring, the problems I experience were still the same until yesterday _(depending on the time zone) I received a solution from the Helpdesk. I will paste their answer here under:

Hello [my-name],
Thank you for your response. We believe that the issues you've been experiencing with the Natural Texture Pack should be resolved now. We were able to re-grant you this content so you should be able to apply it in Worlds online and offline now without issue.
If you run into issues attempting to apply the pack, please do the following:
Verify your game version: Make sure you are using the latest version of Minecraft. Instructions for how to update your game can be found on How to Install & Play Minecraft Updates.
Check your connection: Verify your internet connection is active and stable. Restart your router and reconnect.
Sign out and restart: Completely sign out of Minecraft and close and reopen the game. Let the game load for a full 3-5 minutes allowing the content to synchronize with your account.
We are closing this ticket, since there's no further troubleshooting for us to provide.
Thank You,
Result:
Now the Texture pack does not show as “Owned (P)” anymore in my market place library but just as “Owned” THIS SOLVED THE PROBLEM!!!! 😮💨 finally
CONCLUSION:
The error occurs due to DRM changes in the market place since about V.1.21.21 was introduced.
Work-arounds have changed over the course of past 1.5 years as has the DRM.
There will most likely be no change ever, that will solve this DRM issue.
Advise for anyone that experiences this issue, you need to contact the help desk and request them to, as they say, “re-grant” you the package so it will not register as “Owned(P)” anymore but as “Owned” instead. ONLY THAT solves the problem.
You will be asked to connect your (newly created if you wish) Microsoft account to your Minecraft game first, send over all kind of screenshots of all kind of info like MCID and DID, a screenshot of how the texture pack shows in your Minecraft market place and if possible upload a video of your failing attempt to run the texture pack (I used an action-cam 😅 ) to your Microsoft connected One-drive and share the link to them.
This was most likely needed to get the pack re-granted.
Good luck to you all.

Hi Daisy, thanks for the knowledge, if they know this is the issue surely they must have a record of who ordered what on an account previously. It’s a lot of work for us still just to get texture packs that we paid for working again. Thanks for sharing.
@Harry Snook
If you want to get more info, you will need to contact Minecraft support (https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us ), Daisy is an employee there at Zen Desk, the customer support provider for Mojang / Microsoft, this text is just a copy from my (Prlwitzkofski) discussion with her and several colleagues by email. I refered also to this bug report, but they first try to evade, then deny and then finally offer the solution for you personally and not for the bug itself.
From their reaction, it is obvious they will never solve this bug, it is a logical result of their change in DRM, it is intentional Microsoft behavior to earn more money. If it were possible for me to order or buy the Natural texture pack again so it would work again, I would have done that instead, but this was not possible. The only thing you can do besides fighting for your right, is buying the PC windows based game and buy the texture pack there, this will change the “owner(P)” into Owner as well. so then you pay again for something you paid alrady AND you pay for a lisence for the PC, I requested a license for the PC as compensation but they refused, so finally after several weeks continuous nagging from me and threatening with legal action (breaking EU consumer protection regulations by breaking the software with an update after buying it). so after I proved I owned the texture pack with the screenshots and actually making it work with my workarounds (which should still work), they finally granted my wish to revise the ownership from “Owner(P)” to “Owner” so it would work again.
As said by you, it is ridiculous that you need to invest so much hours in getting what you paid for. for that reason I keep answering and updating this same thread on the bug tracker,
Best of luck getting yours working again too..
Well, then they have to RE-GRANT the Nature Texture Pack to everyone had previous downloaded it.
Italy here, still have the same issues since years: ridiculous thing is that Nature Texture Pack is a Minecraft’s native package, not a third-party one. And, at least for me (I play Minecraft Bedrock Edition - licensed, of course - on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 consoles) this package is a FREE DOWNLOAD.
If I go on the Marketplace, I still see Nature Texture Pack as FREE DOWNLOAD, whit no Minecoins needed for the purchase.
So first they granted something they produced by their own as free for everyone. Then broke it for DRM changes, and finally gaf about fix the whole thing, maybe thinking that since it’s a free download package, then it’s not worthing wasting their time fixing something that doesn’t bring them any incomes.
Pity that everyone of those who can’t use Nature Texture Pack, bought a licensed copy of Minecraft Bedrock edition paying MONEY.
Whatever … how can I get in contact whit the help desk to finally put a point to this grotesque issue? Thanks in advance.
still an issue on freshly installed minecraft…
For everyone tracking this bug, please go to the minecraft web page and open a support claim there, the helpdesk needs to re-grant you the texturepack so it will be shown without the extra (P) behind the word “owned”. Read my previous posts about how this DRM bug came to be and why Microsoft is not willing to fix it (they can’t without disabling the DRM all together due to poor coding). In this complaint refer to this bugtracker (link to it if you need to) and keep stressing on the fact that the issue will only be resolved if they re-grant you the pack. It worked with me after a long battle. they will make you jump through multiple hoops before you get there… be prepared…
