Today the snapshot updates the version, and the game does not open anymore, it instantly displays:

I attached the crash-report.
Waiting for a solution.

Having the same issue with NVIDIA Geforce drivers and Windows 10.
This is in fact a driver issue, not a Minecraft issue.
Only solution is to reinstall the NVIDIA graphics driver. This will work 1 or 2 days, then happens "something" (Windows Update?) so that the drivers need to be reinstalled.

Mario, have you found a solution yet? I am having the same issue. 😞

I have the same problems.
This happens when launching with Java 1.8.0 171.
This doesn't happen when launching with Java 1.8.0 25.

I have the same problem. I attached the crash-report. Is there a solution?

same issue here

I'm also getting this issue but I'm trying to run the Game on a VM

I Attached the Crash Report if you need it.
@@unknown There is nothing we can do. It's caused by your drivers not supporting the required version of OpenGL. It's particulary the case if you try to run the game on a VM.

I have the same problem as you guys and i want to play.
[media]There is nothing we can do. Try to update your graphics driver. See the note in description.

I have a similar error, but it isn't exactly the same. I am currently running Arch Linux. The error I get is:
I am running Arch Linux 64bit.
Java version is 1.8
Minecraft 1.14.4
The Error:
The game crashed whilst initializing game
Error: java.lang.IllegalStateException: GLFW error 65543: GLX: Failed to create context: BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation)

I face this problem before, for windows user, add javaw.exe to graphic setting from windows 10 setting, and then switch to your gaming graphic~

I had to manually update windows and it resolved the problem

i cannot seem to find the edit profile version of the launcher nor get to the native launcher. i have tried but am unable to find it.

I get this same error when trying to play Minecraft Java edition 1.17.1 on a Windows 10 laptop. I have updated Java, I have uninstalled both Java and Minecraft Java Edition and reinstalled both programs. I copied a downloaded 64-bit OpenGL32.dll C:\Program Files\Java\Bin and C:\Windows\System32 as directed by community members. When I drop down the version in the launcher I can actually play version 1.16.5 without getting the error. But if I try to play 1.17.1 I get the error: GLFW error 65542: WGL: The driver does not appear to support OpenGL

Acabo de comprar Minecraft y aparece el erro 65542. ya copié el archivo OpenGL32.dell a Java y no funcionó.

Same issue than Susan, I've made:
- Re-install of Drivers, Java and Minecraft (and deleting their folders later)
- Copy the OpenGL32.dll into Java folder and System32
this problem ONLY came when I setup the Javaw.exe on display settings to run with my video card (AMD Radeon RX 580 4GB XFX) instead of the integrated graphics (Intel HD Graphics 4600), my graphics card support OpenGL 4.5 and this is ridiculous that I can't play Minecraft with that one :/ (and previously does)
My output error are this one:

Currently I'm using the latest driver released (21.11.2) just in case of that could solve this problem and doesn't. I also send a ticket to AMD in case this problem came from their side.

I have HP ProBook 6560b laptop Intel core i3 with an Intel HD Graphics 3000 display card in it.
I constantly get this GFWL error 65542: WGL: the driver does not appear to support OpenGL
I have loaded Minecraft Java edition multiple time and from alternative download. Windows 10 has all the latest updates. Java has all the latest updates. I have tried every fix that has been sent to me from Minecraft help. I have tried manually loading OpenGl drivers.
Nothing I have done ahs changed this error. It always comes back with the same error.
My question is simply can this be fixed and if so how. Does Minecraft Java Edition run on Windows 10? If not will Minecraft for Windows run on this old laptop?
