I purchased a 10 player realm for 180 days 6 months ago.. For the past 6 months it has said "Your purchase was successful, but we couldn't create your realm right now." I have tried everything from uninstalling the game to reformatting my Nintendo Switch. I have reached out to support several times and only gotten 1 response and that was 1 month ago (5 months since I opened a ticket). I tole them everything I had done to attempt to correct the issue a d the only response was to try the things that I had already tried and reopen the ticket if I still have questions. I'm at a loss here. I spent the money on minecoins (which Nintendo doesn't refund in game currency) and 6 months later i still cannot access my realm nor get ahold of anyone to actually help. What do I do to bring attention to this obvious bug?

Tell me how I can help to give you what you need. Or is there someone I can call? 6 months!
Thanks for your patience while we look into this. You did the right thing to contact Customer Support to mention the billing issue you had - please bear with the Support Team while they try and assist you further.
I have passed along the details about the issue you're having with your Realm to the developers, in case there is a more general bug that can be resolved there too.

I am experiencing something very similar on IOS. Bought a realm for 1 month subscription no matter what I do to configure a realm I get
"Incomplete Realm" -> "It looks like we didn't finish things last time. Let's compete creating your realm now. " -> "OK"
Click OK.
"Something Went Wrong" -> Your purchase succeeded, but we couldn't create your realm right now. We will create your Realm as soon as possible. Check back later on this device." -> "Back to Store"
It's been a couple weeks now and I still can't use the realm I paid for.

They finally got back to me and extended the realm time, however if it try to go and extend the realm. I still get the same error. I'm sure this will be a problem again when I have to renew.

I also have the "Your purchase succeeded, but we couldn't create your realm right now. We will create your Realm as soon as possible. Check back later on this device." error message, and i just bought mine the day 1.16 came out. I've also looked and this has been an issue for a year at least.

Ditto. Decided to get a new Realm for the update, as my last one expired. However, I am now stuck with the exact same messages, unable to create a new Realm or revive my old one. I was using the Windows 10 Bedrock Edition v 1.16.0

Same issue here. I've tried on multiple iOS devices, as well as on Nintendo Switch. Support was ZERO help. It's been nearly 2 months. They said to report it on this forum.

An update for all the others who find themselves here with the problem. This probably won't work for everybody, but hopefully can help some of you. Looking inside the game under Subscriptions, I could see that even though my purchase went through, I didn't have access to Realms, which is why my Realm couldn't be created. I was able to contact Xbox support, who manages most versions of the game, regardless of platform, and they refunded my purchase. I then tried to re-purchase the Realms subscription, but on a different device (my Xbox One), and this time it went through and I was able to create a Realm and play on it.

Same. Realm expired in April, tried to renew (need dat Nether boi) but got "store connection lost" message. Same with trying to buy a new realm, download backup, delete, upload/replace. Still stuck at "store connection lost" message. Checked my network, anti-virus, and Xbox app settings. Seems like realms has been broken since April/May. Many tickets, such duplicate. Not sure if low priority issue or huge complicated issue. Windows 10 19041 BE v1.16.

iOS fix (May work.)
Must of be your restriction settings. To fix this go to Settings > screen time > Content & Privacy and Restrictions, then find go to iTunes or App Store Settings (IN SCREEN TIMES SETTINGS) and then click In-App Purchase, then turn it on if it may work.

The v1.16.1 hotfix seemed to solve my issue. Am able to purchase realms again and upload/replace world. Windows 10 19041 BE v.1.16.1. Not sure if this fixes the "purchase successful but unable to create realm" issue, though.

I can confirm this. Just tried to renew my realm and I recieved the same message. Updating methods of payment on my Microsoft Account and trying a different form of payment does nothing to fix this. This is occuring on Windows 10 Bedrock as of 1.16.1

I succeeded in purchasing on IOS, but I can not create it, and there is no room for improvement even if I inquire. When can I do it?

I have the same problem. I bought a realm in October and it was never created. Will my coins be returned?

I’m having this problem for the second time this year. I’ve tried the hotfix suggested above without success. I bought a realm a few days ago on iOS and it didn’t set up. But my money was taken - no problems there. I can cancel the subscription but the initial amount has gone and I don’t see anyone worrying about that on my behalf. I’ve been playing Minecraft for some years and have had a realm before successfully on the same device, but errors and problems on Minecraft seem like a way of life for players. But if players are purchasing then resolution should be a lot quicker than it appears to be.

I am getting this error on 16.200 on an iPad. Any Fixes?

I have also been getting this issue and I am on pocket edition. I bought a two player realm and It has been saying the same thing

I tried accessing my Minecraft account on an iPhone. It recognised that a realm was waiting to be set up, but when I tried I got the same result. I then deleted Minecraft on the iPhone and tried again. Same thing, no solution.
I then cancelled my subscription on Apple and installed Minecraft on an Amazon Fire tablet. I logged in (my purchases are saved to my account, not individual devices).
I purchased a subscription for Realms Plus, same as before. I was very relieved when it worked instantly and I can now use this from my iPad. Some happy young family members and myself of course.
I’ve lost some money on the initial subscription, but I can’t wait around for ever more waiting for a fix.
Good luck everyone!

Just like I thought, the realm expired and when I purchased the coins I am getting the same issue again. It has been 1 year since this started. Is anyone even looking into this?

Same issue here. Tried to create a new realm and it says to check back later. Kids wanting to play this during Christmas break... needs to be fixed!

I had this problem last month (and started following this thread just in case), but the only thing that got me past it was to submit a request directly to Minecraft. Go to Minecraft.net, select "Support" and then click on "Contact Us" at the bottom of the page. After that it took about a day for them to get back to me and resolve the issue. I think this is something that needs to be adjusted on their end. Frustrating, but fixable. Good luck!

Looks like I've got something similar in REALMS-6474.
Looking to buy a new, first time Realm 2 player and I get "You have the maximum number of active subscriptions"
I've never subscribed.

I am currently having this problem with no end in sight i have 9 people yelling at me to start the realm and I have already sent Minecraft 2 emails I need this fixed today because tomorrow I can’t even try to fix it

I am also Experiencing the same issue on iOS. I have reinstalled the app, signed in and out of Apple account, and can’t get past this.

Why are they doing nothing about this I’m gonna end up paying 8 dollars for a realm I can’t even use

I sent them 2 emails and I’ve gotten 1 response which only asked for things I already stated in the ticket

I will comment every day if I have to I paid for this realm and I don’t even have access to it

Same problem, the realm was not created, but there was no problem taking my money. I feel scammed. This bug really needs to be fixed.

Just purchased 10 player Realms Plus. Payment transaction complete. Same issue on all of my iOS devices as well as Switch. All devices have latest operating versions and all devices have the latest Minecraft version. Rebooted all devices. Also signed in and out of Apple account. No joy!

Harrison Smith, you shouldn't just feel scammed you were scammed and so were the rest of us I HAVE SEEN REPORTS OF THIS PROBLEM FROM OCTOBER 2019 THIS PROBLEM NEEDS TO BE FIXED

FEEL FREE TO CALL ME A KAREN BUT FIRST THROW 8 DOLLARS IN A FIRE BECAUSE THAT IS BASICALLY WHAT ALL OF US HAVE DONE AND SOME OF US HAVE SPENT MORE THAN THAT

MAKE 100 DIFFERENT ACCOUNTS IF YOU HAVE TO THEY ARE SCAMMING US THEY STILL GET THIS MONEY THEY WILL NEVER FIX THIS BUG WHY WOULD THEY ITS FREE MONEY

Why should they care about an insignificant amount of complainers when they have over “...131 million monthly active users” per PC Mag October 2020? You do the math. They will do what they want to do whenever they want to do it. Maybe if we’re constructive with each feedback, maybe we’ll see some progress before our next subscription renewal...or not.

Yes I agree but we still need to find a way to get their attention

Perhaps PC Mag would be interested in the story...if there was a very significant number of complaints. Not sure Jira is the best or only forum for that. Maybe populating all of the top Minecraft / Mojang blog sites with relevant, constructive, and persistent posts. There is also a class action to be considered if real harm can be proven. Could become a part time job for someone that is determined and has the time. Reality check, attracting a significant number of like minded subscribers that are just as determined and ready, willing and able to act could be a significant challenge.

Yeah I have a few people I can get to start watching the issue and reporting it

I added current screen shots of the issue today. Still no joy, also using iPad Pro (12.9-inch) (4th generation), iPadOS 14.3.
Also wanted to add information on my 2 - two player Realm subscriptions (established before this ten player issue) are performing, uploading and downloading satisfactory on all iOS devices and Nintendo Switch.

This has happened to me twice now on the switch. I have never been able to start a realm and the game has now eaten around 20 dollars worth of minecoins. I don't know if this is an issue every switch owner has or if it's random, but it's extremely troubling.

Just bought Realms yesterday and experiencing similar issues with replacing the world I made. Very disappointing experience for paying for a subscription! And it is extremely confusing what support channel to use.

When I created my realm, I was able to access it for the first 30 days and then when the free trial expired, I wasn't able to access it. It's been like this for 2 weeks and none of my friends were able to access the realm. I have the same issue when trying to manage my subscription. Like David said, is anyone even trying to fix this? Has anyone found the problem?

I do need to give credit where it's due. I contacted Mojang Support and within 30 minutes they had validated my subscription and manually activated the Realm on their side so I was up and running.
That doesn't mean there's no issue and subsequent frustration, but impressive response by the support team on a weekend.

I agree with Mike Hatfield here, I contacted Mojang and got a response in 20 minutes and did the same thing Mike mentioned. So far my realm has kinda been working, but that doesn’t mean this problem has been resolved. It’s a temporary fix, and we don’t know how long the fix will last.

Same issue. Spent 40 minutes on the phone with Microsoft, no luck. Paid for realms plus, but it's expired on Windows and Switch. Can't access created realm.
Get this message "You are attempting to create a new realm but a prior purchase was found for renewing a realm. Would you like to apply that purchase now?"
Replying Yes or No to that message causes nothing to happen, realm still expired.

I'm also suffering this bug, atleast I think I am I purchased a realm yesterday and I'm receiving the Realm Purchased, but unable to create realm message issue... I've tried unlinking ane relinking my Microsoft account, deleting and redownloading like said by Microsoft and nothing, I've contacted them I think and awaiting response but no luck yet. This is on PlayStation if needed. EDIT #1: It's been a few days this has definitely happened to me, I found out that when I deleted and redownloaded Minecraft I got a new message promting me to take ownership of the subscription as it couldn't find the owner but answering yes does nothing.

This is not working for me either. I am getting the same messages that the purchase cannot be completed, even though the account has been charged. Playing on iPad Pro. Additionally, after trying to purchase the Realm, the game crashes constantly.
Hello – we are actively trying to fix these payments related issues. Providing additional details through Minecraft Player Support would be of the most help. Please contact them at [Home | Minecraft Help|https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us].
Hi David,
Unfortunately persisting with the support team is your best option at the moment, I'm sorry we can't do more here.
This platform is only intended to track active game bugs and as such is manned primarily by volunteers so we have no access or ability to look at your account or the associated realm.
Best of luck.
